"Jesus" and one of our youth during the Thursday skit. |
Dear R&J Cast, I love you guys. It's been a blast getting to know you all the last couple of months. All of you are so talented and amazing to work with. Here's hoping we get to do more shows together soon! And break a leg this weekend!
A sneak peek at the epic sword fight between Mercutio and Tybalt. Tonight and tomorrow at 7pm at the Jackson band shell! |
Dear VBS volunteers, WOW. You all are fantastic. All of the hard work you have been putting in this week has been wonderful and we couldn't do it without you. Especially all of my teenagers. When I watch you all hanging out with the kids, singing the songs, and telling them about Jesus, my heart is smiling.
Dear Sleep, I've missed you lately. Let's catch up once the weekend is over.
Also- I've been sponsoring the blog Lost in Travels this month and I'm featured on her site today! Chelsea has been an awesome sponsor host and I'm so glad I've been able to work with her the last few weeks. Check it out here: http://lostintravelsblog.blogspot.com/2013/06/letters59.html.
1. We don't have to stop hanging out! Let's watch Supernatural sometime next week!
ReplyDelete2. I also owe a great deal of debt to Michael and his wife. We would have been lost with out them.
3. Here's to Joseph!!
1) Yes yes yes! I'm so excited I have someone to watch Supernatural with now!
Delete2) They're awesome and just go above and beyond all the time.
3) I'm crazy excited for Joseph, and I might have some kids for you to audition for the childrens chorus. :)
Oh wow, the performances start tonight?? It seems like only yesterday that you were auditioning! Chookas!!!
ReplyDelete(It occurs to my slightly addled "why am I still up at 1am?" brain that I wasn't as clear as I could have been in that comment. Chookas = the Australian theatre version of "break a leg". I figured it's far more appropriate to wish you chookas than a broken leg because I suspect you've had enough broken legs in your life and even wishing you the theatrical kind seems a little not quite right. So: CHOOKAS!!)
DeleteYeah! The rehearsals went by crazy fast. It was a really quick time frame. (2 months... maybe?) And I think I'll start saying "Chookas" instead of "break a leg." Because as you said, I've broken enough legs and because of that I've never understood why you would want to say that to someone before going on stage.
