So Depressing

Day 17: Least Favorite Book

I want to start this post clarifying that I really do genuinely enjoy ALL OF THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS.

So when I say my least favorite book - it's not that I don't like it. It's just that I like the other six better. But I still like it.

My least favorite Harry Potter book is

Most of this book is just sad, and it doesn't move very fast. Yeah, there are humorous moments like in all of the books, but they don't happen as often as in the other books. I get that it's supposed to be that way. Book five is supposed to show how much everything has changed, and Harry is depressed most of it. I get that. But it makes the book a bit hard to get through. (Although I do love Dumbledore's Army.) There isn't much to the story either. When people ask me what Order of the Pheonix is about, I can't really say. It's more transition between books four and six.

Again, I do like this book. I truly do. (Umbridge is probably one of the best villains in the series, and good villains make good stories.) However, I enjoy the other six more.

What's your least favorite book?

  1. Again, I agree with you. I genuinely couldn't tell you what happens in this book.

  2. I love it just for Hermione's "Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon!" comment.

I think I'd have to go with Chamber of Secrets. Because - as important as he is in the end - Dobby annoys the hell out of me!
