The Top 10 Movies I'm Looking Forward to in 2014

I've done more than my fair share of talking about book releases this year. However, I've failed miserably in sharing which movies I'm looking forward to! So, I'm beind considering it's already February. Ah well. Better late than never, right? Right.

So here are the top 10 movies I'm excited for in 2014 in order of their release date.

The Lego Movie- Come out on Friday!

This one looks HILARIOUS! I can't really describe it. Just watch the trailor.

Winter's Tale- Valentines Day

This looks so fantastic! I'm reading the book right now and it's downright lovely and magical. It's crazy long (over 700 pages) but worth it. I'll have it finished by the time the movie comes out though because I want to see this!

The Son of God- Feb 28

Okay, I'm a bad Christian and I normally am not into "Jesus" movies. (Best example: Fireproof. UGH.) However, I saw a preview for this one before one of the many times I saw Frozen and I couldn't help but be intrigued. I really liked how they portayed Jesus, as this guy who just hops on a boat with the fisherman and leans back like they've been friends forever and is all "I'm going fising.". So chill. It was awesome.

Divergent- March

I've gone back and forth on this one. Not because I don't think it will be good, but because for weeks after finishing the third book Allegiant, I couldn't watch the trailor without getting super depressed or irrantionally angry. How in the world would I make it through the whole movie? However, while I'm sure I'll have both of these emotions during the movie, I still want to see it. I don't love the Divergent trilogy as much as The Hunger Games as far as YA dystopian stories go, but it's still a good story.

Noah- March

Again... I'm not one for Jesus/Bible/Christian movies. However, this one seems to have a cool look at the stoy of Noah. Also- Emma Watson is in it and she's fabulous. So, obviously.

Meleficent- May

My entire life I have cosidered Meleficent from Sleeping Beauty one of the best and most evil of the Disney villains. Now this live action movie all about her and told from her point of view? YES. GIVE IT TO ME NOW. Also, how they use the song "Once Upon a Dream" in this trailor is chilling and brilliant.

The Fault in our Stars- June

Um... duh. Just give me the box of tissues and let's get this glorious tear fest going.

Mockingjay Part 1- November

Of course I want to see the first part of Mockingjay! In fact, I just saw Catching Fire for the second time. I love this book trilogy and I've really been enjoying how they have been putting together the movies

But again, no trailor yet. Unless some of you know something that I don't.

The Hobbit: There and Back Again- December

I fail at being a nerd- because I haven't seen The Desolation of Smaug yet! I was too busy watching Frozen over and over again and by the time I realized I hadn't seen it yet, it was already out of theatres. I'm really depressed. However, that doesn't make me less excited for the third and final installment of The Hobbit movies. It's gonna be awesome!

And is there a trailor out for this yet? If there is, someone send me a link!

Into the Woods- December

And last- but not least- Into the Woods! THIS MUSICAL YOU GUYS THIS MUSICAL.

Seriously, it is by far one of my top five musicals ever, if not top 3.  It always has been and I love it SO SO SO MUCH. It's a bunch of fairy tales all rolled into one glorious musical and it actually sticks closer to the classic Grimm tales than most other movies and stories. THEN in the second act it's all about what happens after "happily ever after." It's completely brilliant. Hilarious, sad, touching, great messages, and overall amazing.

Sorry - is my fangirl showing?

Anyways. I've been following the production of this movie for at least a year now. I'm not 100% convinced of some of the casting choices, but that's mainly because I haven't heard them all sing and I don't really like how they casted the parts of Jack and Red Riding Hood as children. (The actors I have heard sing I'm fine with.) However, acting-wise I'm sure they'll be brilliant.  (UM... Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Chris Pine, Anna Kendrick, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Tracy Ullman, Christine Baranski... just to name a few!) So, here's hoping the movie is fantastic. If it's not, I'll cry for all of eternity.

There isn't a trailor yet, but here is a video I found of some stills from the set.

So... what movies are you looking forward to this year? Are there any big ones I've missed?
