The Soundtrack of March

I don't know about you, but I love finding new music and checking out what other people are listening to. When I have an idea, writing a story, or putting together an event I make playlists to help inspire me and set the mood for whatever is happening around me. Sometimes I'll see memes or writing exercises that ask "what song describes your life right now" or asking you to put together a soundtrack for your life.

I go through music swings though. One day I"ll be really into one artist or song, and then a few weeks later I'm onto something else. I also have been noticing different groups and websites putting together playlists to share. (My favorites have been from Good Women Project and You, Me and Charlie.I also have joined Noise Trade where you can discover new artists that may or may not be on radio and get their music for free!)

It got me to thinking - it would be really fun to share the "soundtrack" of my life month by month! At the end of each  month I'll post the top 10 songs that I've been listening to.

March's Soundtrack:

"One Engine" by the Decemberists from The Hunger Games

"The Lullaby of Broadway" from the musical 42nd Street

"Singing in the Rain" as sung by Gene Kelly in Singing the the Rain

"Lovefool" by The Caridgans (Gotta love old '90s music!)

"Oh Horrible Mistake" by Kevin Lankford

"Skip the Charades" by Cold War Kids

"Ding Dong the Witch Is Dead" cover from Glee

"Find You on my Knees" by Kari Jobe

"Lover is Childlike" by The Low Anthem from The Hunger Games
(I'm IN LOVE with the clarinet instrumental in this song!)

"Let it Go" by Eddy

And... tomorrow is April!!!!!!! Which means a new theme of the month and a new sponsor swap partner. Email me if you want details!
