I am in a slump.
Ever gone through those?
I go to work. I sit on the computer planning things for my job,
organizing, making phone calls....

ReplyDeleteIt brings to rememberance the devotional I read last week or so in Chambers "utmost" devo.
God is in the most mundane things. The basic, simple things that is where we meet God. It really convicted me. I take all too for granted the mundane things and sharing that time and acknowledging the presence of the Lord.
Love you deary!

That was actually one of the topics that was talked about at BigStuf (a camp I took the youth to this past summer). I really need to remember that. Just because life isn't fun and exciting 24/7 that doesn't mean God isn't there. I just need to open my eyes to what he's doing!
DeleteI know what you mean, there for a while I could barely handle going to school let alone functioning enough to write on my blog. I hope you get over your slump soon though!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's hard to get out of slumps because it leaves you so unmotivated!
DeleteHello there. Just followed on over here from A Million Little Somethings. I know what it's like to find yourself in a slump. Boy is it tough to get out. However it is in these very times that I believe God brings us through to see how far we'll press in to regain and renew our vision. To uncover the treasure that is–abiding in Him, through the bleakness. To get out on the other side, even stronger. I am coming to believe through much anguish and angst about my life that the very goal of it is in fact God. We were created for him to be his companions and confidants and friend. Everything else will eventually flow from that but that and only that should be top most objective. It's a lot easier said than done, though. I pray you find renewed direction and refreshing insights and revelations from our Father!
ReplyDeleteOhh oh, me too, and let me add an Oswald quote I just read also :))))
“God gives us the vision, then he takes us down to the valley to batter us into the shape of the vision, and it is in the valley that so many of us faint and give way. Every vision will be made real if we will have patience.” Oswald Chambers

Thank you so much for stopping by!
DeleteIt IS hard to get out of slumps. I'm kind of getting there - sometimes I just need someone to get me off my butt! lol. But seriously, thank you so much. God has really given you the gift of words! "I believe God bring us through to see how far we'll press in to regain and renew our vision. To uncover the treasure that is - abiding in Him, through the bleakness." That's exactly what I need right now. Renew my vision and uncover the treasure of abiding in him.
