Well....
My copy of the book came in last night! I hadn't been home since lunch and when I returned last night, there it was. The glorious UPS box.
Naturally, I opened it immediately.
It's fantastic! I am so beyond excited to finally get this book. I haven't read it all yet, but I love how they put it together. They include the history of the original newsboys strike in 1899, then share how the movie was made in the 90s, and the rest is all about how it got to Broadway. Scattered throughout are stories and photos of fans about why they love the musical so much. They didn't use a story I shared, BUT they did use a photo I submitted.
So yeah... my face is in a book about Broadway and Disney.
While I realize having my face in this book isn't the biggest thing in the universe - I still think it's pretty awesome and it made everything in life happy.
Then... if that's not enough excitement for you... as I was searching for excited GIFS for this blog post I got a phone call for a second interview for a job that I REALLY REALLY WANT! The entire time I was on the phone I was all serious and professional face.
On the inside I was all Love Actually...
When I hung I proceeded to message other people to share in my excitement and we were all like the cast of Friends...
So, if you all have exciting news as well, please share so I can Kermit flail along with you because clearly the last 24 hours are all about excitement.
I had hot water this morning which made me flail like Kermit at 6am! Of course this is not even close to as awesome as your face being in this book!! Congrats, that's great! And just in time for the holidays :)
ReplyDeleteUm... hot water is REALLY exciting! There's not a whole lot worse than taking a cold shower int he mornng or something in the middle of winter.
DeleteI was so excited when you told me all of the exciting news!! You are such a wonderful person and you truly deserve all of these great things! The pictures and GIFS on your blog today are amazing! Kermit is so precious!!!
ReplyDeleteI shall keep my fingers very firmly crossed for you about the job!! I have precisely zero exciting news at the moment, unless you count the fact that I have to go into the city today to pick up my wizard robes (aka academic dress) for graduation next week...
ReplyDeleteHaha. I love it! When is graduation? That's REALLY exciting!
DeleteI meant to comment on this yesterday but I ended up on Twitter (which happens far too frequently I think). I'm very excited for this! Though, I must admit, I have not seen Newsies...and actually, the first time I heard about it was from you when you blogged about the trip to NY. So, yeah, I need to change that soon! Much love, Jess
ReplyDeleteHaha - I saw that and it made me smile! And thanks! Also- go watch Newsies! The stage production is better (at least in my opinion) which is surprising since the movie came first. But I still say you should watch the movie because it's how I first fell in love with it!
DeleteI would be fangirling the same way if I was in a book! SUPER EXCITING! And YAY for the interview, prayers!
ReplyDeleteOh, and also- the fact that you have GIFs from both Freaks & Geeks and FRIENDS is proof that you are awesome and we are great bloggy friends, because those are 2 of my favorites ever. Good taste lady!
