Wild and Free in 2015

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful, fun, and safe New Years Eve and Christmas, or whatever holiday it is that you celebrate! I know the last couple of weeks have been wonderful for me and you can see my shenanigans on Instagram (some were posted to Facebook and Twitter too) so you don't have to go through one of those long holiday recap posts with an overload of pictures.

I will say though - I miss Vlogmas! It's exhausting posting a video every single day, but I've found I do love making vlogs and I made a ton of great friends on YouTube through VEDA and Vlogmas. So... when I saw that Amber of Mr. Thomas and Me and Annie of What She Saw were going to start hosting a monthly vlog link-up, I couldn't resist!

Speak Up will be the first Friday of every month and this month theme is "Wild and Free." They don't give any guidelines or layout for the vlog - just talk about what comes to your mind with the topic. They do give some inspiration though on their blogs in case you need to get started.

You all should link up too! It's really easy to do and if you've always wanted to vlog but never have this would be an awesome way to start. Or if you do vlog you can add this to what you normally would do!

Here's mine for the month:

So go ahead and link up, or share in the comments your thoughts about being wild and free!

Also, I referenced my "Let it Go" blog post from last year which you can find by clicking here.

    1. Thanks so much! A friend of mine did it a few months ago and I LOVE IT!

  2. Indoor voices and I don't get along very well either. Ha! I completely agree: we should definitely embrace those parts of our personality that are unique, even when they cross the boundaries of what a stereotypically proper lady would do. God has made us with so many distinct attributes and I think it's wrong of us to try to change the way He's created us just to fit a cultural mold. (I love "Let it Go" for the same reason!)

Thanks for linking up with us, Emily! I'm excited to hear your thoughts on "heart" next month!

  3. YES YES YES! You made it! :) And that giant mug. HOLY. I want it.

I adore that you're not the gentle and quiet soul like me! It's so challenging and hurtful to hear that we're "wrong" for not fitting the mold. But oh the freedom when I understood that we don't have to sit silent and ashamed of the brightness that is weaved into our souls. :)

    You are dear to me!

  4. Nice video :) I've really been enjoying your vlogs. I love the idea of the Speak Up topics for each month. Wild and Free is such a great one for January, bc this us really the time when we wipe the slate clean and feel the freedom to make a change in our lives.

  5. I love the concept that being in a relationship or in a marriage doesn't have to be "settling down," but it could be being wild + free together. That's the kind of life I want! Always chasing dreams and taking risks and never getting bored.

    Nice to meet you!
