Now, onto day 13 of the Harry Potter 30 Day Challenge!
Day 13: Least Favorite Movie
In all honestly, I actually enjoy all of the movies thus far. As I have said in a previous post - I'm pretty forgiving about movies not being 100% accurate to books. The way a book tells a story and the way a movie tells a story are completely different, so it's really rare when they can be true to each other. That's just how it is. As long as you don't entirely change the plot (a good example would be The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian - they changed the whole plot) I'm usually OK with movies and books being different.
An example would be Gone With The Wind. Excellent book and an excellent movie. But if you read the book and watch the movie- you'll find that there are a lot of differences. Does it make the movie any less wonderful? Not at all. The only times I have heard people not liking the movie Gone With the Wind is because they just don't like the story and characters at all - and it has nothing to do with how accurate it was to the book.
So, picking a least favorite Harry Potter movie is difficult for me. I genuinely enjoyed each of them.
If I had to choose one that was my least favorite it would be:
Again, I really do enjoy this movie. Although I missed all of the quidditch and some of the back story about the Marauders.
I am not a huge fan of Harry Potter, but I completely agree with you about being forgiving if the movie isnt exactly like the book. Its really hard to shove 300+ pages of detail into a 2-hour movie,I bet!
ReplyDeleteHappy mingle Monday!
Stopping by from Mingle Monday, Prisoner of Aazkaban was my least favorite movie also...
