Engravings in my Mind

I love flipping through old photo albums. When I see the pictures of my family and friends, memories from the past flood my mind and unfold before me. I can recall old inside jokes, the tone of voice different people used, and the little details that without a photo I wouldn't be able to remember. When I feel lonely or I'm down about life, I can be reminded of the good times I've had, the wonderful friends and family who love me, and be confident that things will get better. They always do.

The Current Loves of my Life

Dear medicine,

It's been a rough couple of months. Nearly everyday I have someone worried that my lungs will pop out of my mouth in the middle of a coughing session and right into their hands. As I try to sing and dance at rehearsal, I'm coughing and sneezing and worrying that I'm getting everyone else sick. I even pulled/sprained a muscle in my neck while coughing (the doctor is still determining what actually happened... the x-ray results will be in soon...).

Opening Night Butterflies

It's Friday the 13th and opening night for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

We've already had someone say the name of the Scottish play this week which made our director flip out... so we'll see how it goes. At least if something goes wrong we know what to blame it on.
