Day 29: A Book Everyone Hated But You Liked
GAH. This is the third post in this challenge where I am completely embarrassed. But... here we go. Don't hate me after you read this, please.
Hear me out.
I can't stand Bella. She's annoying with no personality. Edward is creepy when he watches her as she sleeps - and the Vampire Lestat laughs at his sparkles. It's fluffy, doesn't have much of a plot, and probably rots my brain as I read it.
But I like it. I don't know why.
It's like candy - or drugs. You know it's bad for you. There is nothing good in it for you, but once you start you can't stop. It's fun and fluffy.
Fine.... judge me. I deserve it.
Day 30: Your Favorite Book of all Time
Really? You're going to make me choose? There are just so many books! How can I pick only ONE?????
There are so many books that I'm absolutely in love with. Characters that are almost like my friends.
Yet, when I think about it... what is the one story that will always be with me? The book that I will NEVER EVER get rid of EVER. The one that I hope my children someday will grow up with.
And the Bible is simply too cheesy to say as my favorite book.
So I'm breaking my own rule.
You probably know what it is if you know me or have read my blog at all.
Harry Potter.
I love Harry. I know I'm only supposed to pick one - but I can't choose just one. So it's the whole thing. Just... it's amazing. There's humor, adventure, love, friendship, family, romance, good vs. evil, magic, and the best life lessons a person can get.
Harry - you are my hero.

Yaaaaaaaaaay, I KNEW you wouldn't be able to go the full 30 days without at least one Potter book!! (Incidentally, I'm watching Deathly Hallows as I type this)
ReplyDeleteI will indeed judge you a little for liking Twilight. But at least you recognise that Edward's creepy and Bella's as interesting as cardboard! ;)
