I was actually waiting for that line while watching the movie but then I got distracted by the naked make-out session. Agreed--they should have included that. I don't know if people who haven't read the books will get that there really is no love triangle or anything going on.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03117752360285429048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4183889572568768724.post-2053044514864329582011-06-17T20:37:00.246-05:002011-06-17T20:37:00.246-05:00I agree with Jessica, the way Half-Blood Prince en...I agree with Jessica, the way Half-Blood Prince ended was craptacular in comparison to the book.

But the bit that made me most angry? It's kind of random, but I adore the part in Deathly Hallows after Ron destroys the Horcrux where Ron's crying and Harry tells him that Hermione cried for a week after Ron left, and that she's like a sister to him. For me, that moment just says so much about Ron, and I'm extra cranky that they left it out of the movie...Melbourne on my Mindhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07125351116980965317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4183889572568768724.post-23252077736031384462011-06-17T20:33:18.978-05:002011-06-17T20:33:18.978-05:00I completely agree that they got Dumbledore all wr...I completely agree that they got Dumbledore all wrong in the movies.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10385787689075231229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4183889572568768724.post-64089728859637786092011-06-17T14:22:37.339-05:002011-06-17T14:22:37.339-05:00I agree about the portrayal of Dumbledore. The scene comes to mind in Goblet of Fire where Dumbledore is shaking Harry by the shoulders and snarling "Did you put your name into the goblet of fire???!!" .. that is SO wrong!Just mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07467136574847865963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4183889572568768724.post-52154830674044720152011-06-17T11:19:47.659-05:002011-06-17T11:19:47.659-05:00**SPOILERS**

The whole reason that Draco spends the entire movie/book trying to fix the Vanishing Cabinet is so he can lead a whole army of Death Eaters into Hogwarts for a big battle. And then what? He finally fixes it, lets a handful of Death Eaters into Hogwarts, and they all stand around and watch Snape kill Dumbledore and then leave. What???? It makes no sense! Plus they had to add the stupid cornfield scene where they destroy the Burrow and then had to pretend it never happened in the next movie. So stupid!!!

OK, I'm calming down. I should just write my own post if I want to rant so much :)

I think the things you mentioned would have been nice, but as you noted, they're things you get more from reading the books than can really be captured in a movie. (Except for Cho betraying them. That was just stupid.) When I watched The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe it was annoying that they included things that only make sense if you've read the book and know what's going through the character's head at that moment. But unfortunately every medium has its downsides :PJessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03117752360285429048noreply@blogger.com
